Bitrix24 or amoCRM: what to choose for a business in Uzbekistan

The most common question before an implementation. I work with both systems, so here is an answer without the sales pitch: when amoCRM is better, when Bitrix24 is, and why for some companies data storage decides it.

The Vulpes team is a partner of both Bitrix24 (GOLD status) and amoCRM, so I have no reason to sell one instead of the other. The answer always depends on how your business works.

In short

amoCRM — when fast sales are what matters: leads from messengers, a short deal cycle, a small sales team. People learn it quickly, and it works well with very little customisation.

Bitrix24 — when you need more than a CRM, a shared workspace: tasks and projects, documents, several departments, complex processes, dealers or branches.

Comparison by task

  • Selling in messengers. Both systems take Telegram, WhatsApp and Instagram. In amoCRM this is the core of the product, and everything is simpler.
  • Tasks and projects. A strength of Bitrix24: projects, deadlines, follow-up control. In amoCRM tasks are tied to deals.
  • Processes and automation. Both have robots and triggers. Bitrix24 also has business processes for approvals and document workflows.
  • Telephony. Both connect to IP telephony and keep calls in the customer card — the difference is in setup details, not capabilities.
  • Analytics. amoCRM gives clear pipeline reports out of the box. Bitrix24 has the BI Builder: harder to set up, but it allows end-to-end reports.
  • Team size. The more departments and roles, the stronger the case for Bitrix24.

Where the data lives

Under the personal data law, data of Uzbek citizens has to be stored on servers inside the country. Bitrix24 has an on-premise edition: it is installed on your server, and the data stays with you. For some companies, especially those with a large customer base, this is the deciding factor. Cloud amoCRM and cloud Bitrix24 run on the vendor's servers — worth taking into account up front.

An example

For Jetour / Soueast we used on-premise Bitrix24: 36 dealers work in one CRM, leads are collected from Google Sheets, calls and messengers, and a BI report shows the funnel from lead to sale for every dealer. amoCRM would have been too tight for that structure.

A small shop selling through Instagram, on the other hand, will usually find it simpler and cheaper to start with amoCRM.

How to decide

Answer three questions:

  1. Do you need a system just for sales, or for the whole company?
  2. How many departments and roles will work in it?
  3. Does it matter that customer data is stored on your own server?

If you are unsure, in a free 30–40 minute review we will look at your processes and choose the system to fit them, not the other way round.
